I have been playing music for parties for more years than I care to mention.

I do it because I love it.

Even though the direction of my DJ business has moved toward playing events for more mature audiences, I am still asked back to play several high school dances each year that I have been playing for many years. I wear as a "badge of honor" a name that I overheard one highschooler use to describe me, "that cool old guy".

I take pride in doing my best to make each event I play the very best it can be.

Great Oldies DJ has invested in some of the finest speakers being used by any DJ in Georgia. The Bose L1™ system is designed so that the sound level on the dance floor can be loud enough without having to be uncomfortably loud for your guests seated near the speakers.



The first thing you notice is that the Bose L1™ system doesn't look like an ordinary speaker....because it isn't. Conventional sound systems normally consist of two or more boxy speakers that project sound very loudly directly in front of the speakers. This sound drops off dramatically as you move away from the speakers. Very few DJ companies use the Bose L1™ system. It's an expensive system but we feel like it is worth the price to provide great sound for your event.

 

The Bose L1™ system creates full-range sound out over nearly 180 degrees which means that virtually everyone in the room will be able to hear the same excellent quality of sound. Below is an example of how the sound travels from the Bose L1™ Loudspeaker versus a Conventional speaker:

Our music library contains thousands of songs from the 1940's up to and including today's hits.

We get our new music by subscribing to "DJ Only" monthly music services.

Our CD music subscriptions include Mainstream Radio and Country Radio.

In addition, we receive DVD music videos with today's pop and rock hits and the latest country hits (the country series also includes contemporary Christian music videos).
